A must to be seen Museum exclusively dedicated to one of the foremost prestigious great fashion designer of our times: Yves Saint Laurent.
The great fashion designer was born in Oran, in French Algeria and died in Paris in 2008 at the age of 71 years old. He has now a museum dedicated to him, a well-deserved tribute.
The inauguration of this museum is expected for the 3rd October 2017. It will welcome visitors in a 450 sqm ground of dresses, accessories, work drafts, pictures and videos. This museum devoted to one of the most symbolic fashion designer of the 20th century, is situated in a private mansion with a Second Empire architecture, where the team of the fashion designer worked for 30 years.
This mansion will nowadays allow you to discover the collection of more than 5000 dresses “prototypes” kept in each floor. Even after their opening, this museum got the category of “Musée de France”. An official recognition.
At the same time of the opening of the Parisian museum, the Yves Saint Laurent Museum will open in Marrakesh, near the Majorelle garden.
On the inauguration day, the entry is for free.
Open from Tuesday to Sunday from 11am to 6pm. Friday from 11am to 9pm.
Closed every Monday.
